About the bands:

The Copper Children- “The Copper Children are an indie rock band emerging out of the heart of Denver, Colorado. Their sound is a mix of indie-Americana, intertwined with soul-folk, influenced as much by mountain music as classic rhythm & blues. The band’s expressed musical functions are driven by a contemporary multi-focus genre, in which they challenges conventional thinking and preconceived notions of what soul-folk is, and aims to give an edge to the folk genre with unique instrumentation and songwriting. Through their music, they strive to share their soulful folk tales through heartfelt lyricism combined with raw emotion, all while paying heed to the diversity, peace and sacredness of life, as we know it. Amidst their profound songwriting and melodies, the band has readily established themselves as ‘The Copper Children’ of the Colorado musical forefront.” -information taken from artist’s Facebook -click to follow Copper Children-

Truckstop Honeymoon- “In eleven years Truckstop Honeymoon have released eight CDs and a full length
documentary film on Baton Rouge label, Squirrel Records. They perform at International folk festivals, rock clubs, neighborhood bars, house concerts and hay barns from Nebraska to Tasmania.

Truckstop Honeymoon’s story begins in New Orleans, where Katie played wash-tub bass and blues piano in the streets of the French Quarter. There she met Mike, who slung a banjo and sold his CDs to tourists as a curative for hangovers and small mindedness. After a court house wedding, they hit the road together. They spent their wedding night in a trucks stop somewhere between Lafayette and the Atchafalaya Swamp. There Truckstop Honeymoon was born.” -Information taken from Artist’s Facebook page -click here to follow Truckstop Honeymoon-

My Oh My- “My Oh My! lovingly embrace the term classic rock. And the Kansas City 8-piece does tip its hat to its rock n’ roll influences; but they do more than just that. The group makes use of rollicking piano, driving guitars, and backup singers, to offer a fresh take on something that feels familiar.

Lead singer and songwriter, A.M. Merker’s gritty vocals are softened by backup singers, Sarah Dolt’s, Melissa Geffert’s and Stephanie Gaumé’s soulful harmonies. On their deeply personal debut release, “Your Heart Not Mine”, which was recently nominated for 2014 Album of the Year by The Pitch, the group offer up nine original works about living and loving too hard. Songs range from anthemic, as in the title track and closer, “I Tried”, to thoughtful and introspective, as in opener “Take It With You”, and the acoustic centerpiece, “If You Need Someone”.

Stephen Berry – lead guitar; piano, Grant Buell – piano; bass, Sarah Dolt – vocals, Stephanie Gaumé – vocals, Melissa Geffert – vocals, Jacob Horpinjuk – drums, Corbin Logan – bass; lap steel, A.M. Merker – vocals; guitar” -information taken from Artist’s Facebook page -click here to follow My Oh My-
