Nicholas St. James – “… is a folk troubadour who is more a throwback to Vaudeville than the Dust Bowl. Blogger Brian Clifton writes, “Nicholas St. James blends together old and new to create a sound as distinct as his stage show. St. James mixes folk, blues, vaudevillian drama, and country together.” Based in Lawrence, Kansas, by way of St. Louis, Missouri, Nicholas is an authentic Midwestern folk musician, mixing Bob Dylan’s storytelling with Tom Waits’ theatrical delivery…” – information taken from artists’ Facebook page

Clayton Smith and His Enemies – “Songwriter and performer Clayton Smith was born and raised to be a Texas musician. Growing up believing Charley Daniels was Santa Claus, he studied the greats; Guy Clark, John Prine, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard. He imitated. That began to develop what would be his sound. Between high school and the introduction of various vices, his taste leaned more eclectic, drawing influence from rock and roll, punk, and dance music. He is now known for his rarely subtle, genuine lyrics and smoking hot guitar licks. Wandering through Texas like a mad dog cyclone, he seeks any gig that’ll have
him.” – information taken from artists Facebook page – click for more

Grassfed – “… is a Kansas City five-piece string band. Pivoting on the foundation of bluegrass, Grassfed entwines tradition with an eclectic array of influences. Forged by songwriters and driven by instrumental conversation, the band brings a punching sound all of its own. We feel at home on any stage, venue or private event. Come on by and see us.” – information taken from artists’ Facebook page – click for more

Tornado Rose – “…is one of those bands you can’t miss in the folk scene. If you’ve ever been to Winfield, the Fiddling and Picking Championship, or any number of popular folk venues along the I-70 corridor this year, you’ve likely seen them play.

We finally caught up with the full band staggered across the stage at the Bottleneck over the weekend. Tornado Rose is right to keep so active in the scene.… They’re charming, upbeat, and keep the toes tapping during their tunes…” – information taken from artists’ Facebook page – click for more
