About the bands:

Taylor Smith Band: “Taylor Smith is new to Kansas City from a small town known as Kinston, NC. His musical abilities are influenced by a strong gospel background and icons such as Jimi Hendrix, The Allman Brothers, Frank Zappa, and a plethora of others.”

Nick Gusman: ““Hello to the hard times, goodbye good times…

I’ll see you ’round” is an excerpt from the title track on Nick Gusman’s debut Folk/Americana record, “Dear Hard Times”. Though desperation is heard on top of the songs blunt and honest lyrics, underneath there is a wave of confidence. Taking note of inspirational artists like Dylan and Prine, Nick’s songs are chock-full of imagery, and storytelling. Dear Hard Times will be released late-2018. Nick Gusman is an STL native, playing mostly in South Saint Louis. A July 2018 tour brings Nick to the Northwest, taking him to Seattle and back.”

Twang Daddies: “Twang Daddies are from Lawrence and Stilwell Kansas and play great American music featuring the “Big Four” of Johnny Cash, George Jones, Merle Haggard and Buck Owens.”

The Westport Saloon – “…is an American Roots Venue located in the heart of the Historic Westport District of Kansas City. Offering free live music every night of the week, this is the place to see amazing local, regional, and national talent. With a beautiful Whiskey and Tequila selection, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, The Westport Saloon will likely become your favorite Kansas City stop…”

Four Roses – “It began when Paul Jones, Jr., the founder of Four Roses Bourbon, became smitten by the beauty of a Southern belle. It is said that he sent a proposal to her, and she replied that if her answer were “Yes,” she would wear a corsage of roses on her gown to the upcoming grand ball. Paul Jones waited for her answer excitedly on that night of the grand ball…when she arrived in her beautiful gown, she wore a corsage of four red roses. He later named his Bourbon “Four Roses” as a symbol of his devout passion for the lovely belle, a passion he thereafter transferred to making his beloved Four Roses Bourbon.”
