About the Bands:

The Breakfast Sides: “The musical duet of “Biscuit” Betsey Mae and Chad “Gravy” Graves provide a meal of classic country and bluegrass tunes to fit any appetite”

Kansas City Bear Fighters: “Founded in the cruel winter of 2007, The Kansas City Bear Fighters first took shape as one lonely man’s homage to music as a salve for the soul. Originally, the group performed under the nom de plume “The Denver Broncos” which many considered to be the product of one man’s struggling and genius search for a fire that could crack the deep cavernous walls of his soul.”

The Other Brothers: “The Other Brothers are Eli Clark on guitar, vocals and harmonica, Lorenz Inez on bass, and Jason Kadiwhompus on drums.

Their business card says, “revved up rockabilly blues”—Reverbnation actually ranks them as the #1 Rockabilly band in the World. Bassist Lorenz Inez starts every show announcing the band plays “rock AND roll”. So what is it?

“What is Rock and Roll without the blues?” Eli Clark replied, taking a pensive drag on his cigarette.

“Blues is the lifeblood of rock and roll.” Lorenz interjected, “If people think rock and roll is dead—and these days it seems at the very least on life support— then it’s because it’s lost sight of the blues.”

“Besides,” Jason concluded, “labels are for critics and record companies.”

This is the latest development in a breakout year for The Other Brothers: their latest album, “Born Out Of Tune” was released in April, which led to a string of dates from Lincoln to Chicago, including appearances on Iowa Public Radio, KCWI, and a standing-room only debut at Kansas City’s legendary Westport Saloon.”

The Westport Saloon – “…is an American Roots Venue located in the heart of the Historic Westport District of Kansas City. Offering free live music every night of the week, this is the place to see amazing local, regional, and national talent. With a beautiful Whiskey and Tequila selection, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, The Westport Saloon will likely become your favorite Kansas City stop…”

Four Roses – “It began when Paul Jones, Jr., the founder of Four Roses Bourbon, became smitten by the beauty of a Southern belle. It is said that he sent a proposal to her, and she replied that if her answer were “Yes,” she would wear a corsage of roses on her gown to the upcoming grand ball. Paul Jones waited for her answer excitedly on that night of the grand ball…when she arrived in her beautiful gown, she wore a corsage of four red roses. He later named his Bourbon “Four Roses” as a symbol of his devout passion for the lovely belle, a passion he thereafter transferred to making his beloved Four Roses Bourbon.”
