About the Bands:

Knock Kneed Sally: “Knock Kneed Sally: Original Bluesy Americana, home based in the Midwest. Knock Kneed Sally continue to have an ever growing following playing festivals like King Biscuit and shows everywhere. Fronted by Stovepipe Perkins this is a fun fun super tight band. Playing 200+ shows a year has created a tight, hard groove that audiences love and come back for again and again.” Information borrowed from the artist’s site, click on the artist’s name for more information.

Grand Marquis: “The Grand Marquis inject a vibrant relevance into their brand of American roots music while delivering a classic, timeless ‘straight-from-the-speakeasy’ sound. Versatile and buoyant, distinct and refreshing – a rhythm cocktail served by masterful musical mixologists.

Over the past 17 years they have logged more than 2000 performances, as far-flung as Seattle to South Beach Miami, but often in the midwest, where they call Kansas City home.

2011 International Blues Challenge Finalists
2013 Blues Foundation voted “Blues and Trouble” one of the top 3 best self-produced recordings.”

The Westport Saloon – “…is an American Roots Venue located in the heart of the Historic Westport District of Kansas City. Offering free live music every night of the week, this is the place to see amazing local, regional, and national talent. With a beautiful Whiskey and Tequila selection, welcoming atmosphere, and friendly staff, The Westport Saloon will likely become your favorite Kansas City stop…”

Four Roses – “It began when Paul Jones, Jr., the founder of Four Roses Bourbon, became smitten by the beauty of a Southern belle. It is said that he sent a proposal to her, and she replied that if her answer were “Yes,” she would wear a corsage of roses on her gown to the upcoming grand ball. Paul Jones waited for her answer excitedly on that night of the grand ball…when she arrived in her beautiful gown, she wore a corsage of four red roses. He later named his Bourbon “Four Roses” as a symbol of his devout passion for the lovely belle, a passion he thereafter transferred to making his beloved Four Roses Bourbon.”
